3 KM Military-Grade Obstacle Race Course

The famous Action Matakana Obstacle Course is a series of challenging obstacles consisting of 3 kilometres dotted with 34 obstacles. Our confidence building Obstacle Course is designed for all ages and levels of fitness as we can redesign the Obstacle Course to meet the capability of your group - without breaking them! Your people can expect to get wet and muddy! (Don't worry, we have hot showers!)

Our purpose designed 3km Obstacle Course can be tailored to fit your adventure, from incredibly challenging Military Grade action; to simply super fun. Action Matakana tailors our obstacle course to suit corporate team building activities, sports team's teamwork challenges, school adventure programmes - or adventures to challenge any group’s fitness and bravery.

For your team to succeed on the Obstacle Course, every member must participate and give their best. It requires a wide range of skills and no one is exempt from participating. The team must 'look out' for their own, encouraging those that may be nervous, and assisting those that are less capable.

X-Team Challenge

The obstacle course is designed as the ultimate Team Building Challenge. It tests the Team's mental and physical endurance; and is designed to see who in the Team steps up and takes the lead. Discover who it is that  inspires everyone to dig that little bit deeper and break through the barriers they face!

Executive Level Challenges

Designed to test the Teams communication skills and ability to persevere under stressful conditions. 

The day starts with a series of our Executive Puzzles to ensure your Teams are working together before moving onto the Obstacle Course challenge.

Two Lap Challenge 

Want to see how “ Effective Good Team Work” produces results?

Try running two laps with 5 minutes of reflection time between laps. Our Trained Staff will critique your 1st lap before sending the Team out again on Lap 2. You will be amazed how effective Team Work improves your 2nd lap time.

This obstacle course is not a high wire course. Not suitable for runners under 13 years old.
