Halter Team Building action at Action Matakana

Action Matakana hosted a 190 person strong team from innovative Kiwi agricultural company, Halter, for a team building day in Matakana near Auckland. It was the third visit from the Halter team, and as always, we enjoyed working with such awesome people, from an awesome company.
Halter are a New Zealand software company who are revolutionising pasture productivity. Halter's machine-learning technology combines information from satellite imagery, weather data, grazing information, the farmer's pasture walks and more, to create a granular view of each farm’s pasture - that’s always updating.
The Team Building Activities
Action Matakana staff organised the team building participants into 19 teams of 10, and created two large Activity Rotations - one of 10 Teams and one of 9 Teams, who then swapped around at lunch time.
Activity Group 1 and moved between a range of team building activities in 12 minute intervals, while Activity Group 2 were based in the Construction Area and worked to complete a complex roller ball structure that had to meet very specific performance criteria, before moving on to Go Karting.
Deadlines were tight; but the team building activities worked well, and Action Matakana's Founder, Max Carpenter noted that of the 19 teams, 15 achieved the numerous requirements for the construction challenge, within the goal time parameters.
"This is outstanding - most corporate teams find it impossible to reach the targets within the set time and the fact that almost all the Halter teams managed to do this speaks volumes about the dynamic thinking, technical smarts, teamwork and effective communications within this organisation - no surprises there!"
What the Client said
"Thank you for putting on such an epic team building day for us. You truly set the tone for the entire celebration, people were blown away by the variety and organisation of the activities (including the coordination with E-volt), not to mention the attitude from your team at every stop.
It was clear how much effort had gone in behind the scenes (even down to the fence markers), and it paid off. The team was buzzing and it made a huge impact on the rest of the event.
We’re so grateful for everything you did to make it all come together, so I wanted to say a huge thank you."

After the teambuilding day
Halter treated their people to a well earned dinner at the Stables restaurant right across the park from Action Matakana, to celebrate their USD 1 Billion Milestone.
