Diocesan School for Girls Outdoor Adventure Activities

About the school's outdoor activities week
Diocesan School for Girls is an all-girls independent Anglican school with around 1700 students from Pre-School to Year 13, located in Epsom, Auckland. Each year, Year 9 students start the school year by spending a week tackling outdoor adventures - from kayaking and hiking, to team building and obstacle course activities at Action Matakana.
The team building & leadership activities
For the last four years we've hosted a fabulous group of year 9 students at Action Matakana on the first day of their outdoor adventure week, and provided activities designed to build resilience, leadership and teamwork skills.
In February this year, 220 students arrived ready for bravery, mud and working together!
The girls took part in a range of fantastic activities delivered 'round robin' style so that each student participated in every challenge. The activities for the school were designed around the obstacle course and gave the girls some epic physical challenges, designed to encourage them to communicate and bond, as well as enhancing their self-belief and natural resilience under pressure.
We always look forward to having these spirited students arrive!
