"My partner and I have entered MatakanaXrun7. I am very excited about the obstacles as I haven’t seen anything quite like this in NZ Obstacle racing before. Other events have put on good shows, however MatakanaXrun has outdone it by using such a variety of obstacles, as well as a short stint to stretch the legs and get some pace. I love pushing boundaries, hence the race events I have previously competed in, and MatakanaXrun can definitely do that for me! On top of all that I am very excited about the team aspect of the Xrun, as most races are very focused on individuals, so this allows teamwork and camaraderie to come before anything else! As for my background, I was 6th Man in the world at World Toughest Mudder 2017, a 24 hour obstacle race in the Las Vegas Desert in November (Atlanta in 2018). Along with several other of the top OCR athletes in NZ we will be going hard-out to win this event. - Andrew Robinson
